The Seabird Island Band prides itself on being a very active, involved community. The Community Services and Recreation department offer a wide variety of programming to help children, youth, adults and elders lead healthier, more active lifestyles
Fitness Facility
Seabird Island offers a fully-equipped fitness facility which includes and on-site gymnasium. Our fitness facility offers both individual and group activities which include floor hockey, boot camp, elder's fitness, and much more. Check out our calendar for times and dates!
Fitness Facility hours are 8:00am - 4:00pm and in the evenings between 6:00pm and 9:00pm Monday through Thursday.

Nutrition
Our on-site Nutrition Educator provides nutrition education to Band Members and Community Members who suffer from a chronic disease, such as Diabetes.
Sponsorship
The Seabird Island Band Chief and Council also support Band Members who take part in organized sports activities through sponsorship programs. Email us for more information!
Goal
The goal of the Community Services and Nutrition Department is to create a healthy, active community by offering low-cost or no-cost access to activities and information to.
Am I eligible?
- Sponsorship – If you are a Band Member and are taking part in organized sports you are eligible for sponsorship.
- Fitness Facility – Our Fitness Facility is open to all clientele.
- Nutrition – If you are a Band Member or Community Member and have a chronic disease you are eligible to receive services.
What are the costs?
Fitness Facility – $2 dollar a day for non-Community Members, $1 for Community Members and free to Band
Nutrition – Free to Band Members and Community Members
