The Events Program hosts Seabird Band events and community engagement events. There can be hundreds of events each year. Including the Seabird Festival, Community Christmas Dinner, Sports Events, and Office Events. This includes organizing each event, catering, door prizes and more.
Seabird Island Band’s Chief & Council understand the importance of sports, recreation, travel and other leisure activities. They also recognize the financial difficulties faced by families today, which is why we are proud to offer a sport, recreation and leisure sponsorship program to help our families stay healthy and active. Funding is limited and we encourage Band Members to host fundraising programs. You can book a room or table in the lobby from our Events Coordinator.
What can we help pay for? League or tournament registration fees and sport supplies.
Youth are eligible to have up to 100% of their registration fees covered, a one-time subsidy to purchase sport equipment ($50/year), $15 a night for hotel stay, $15 a night for chaperone, $10 a day for food, $10 a day for chaperone’s food (limit 2 per team), and reasonable travel costs.
Adults and Elders are eligible to have up to 50% of their registration fees covered.
Note: This sponsorship is for extra-curricular activities only and not to be requested to pay for sports affiliated with school. Please contact Education for school sports fees.
How do I apply for sponsorship?
Fill out a Sport Sponsorship Application and sent it to firstname.lastname@example.org or drop it off at our offices. Be sure to include a copy of the invoice or receipt, tournament or event poster, team roster (if applicable), contact names, and a detailed budget.
When should I apply?
You should apply a minimum of 5 working days prior to the event.
