Community Notices 2023

For the past few years, Covid has impacted our mental, emotional, and spiritual health. The pandemic has been challenging and we would like to have more social interaction between staff and our Community Members.

Seabird would like to start hosting gatherings for Community Members to attend; in person meetings, workshops, ceremonies and community dinners. Visitors from outside of the community are welcome to attend our high school graduation and other events, provided they have been COVID vaccinated.

We look forward to seeing our Elders and Community Members, in a safe way.

Covid Plans for Seabird Island Community:

• Minimize the chance of transmission by giving space to Elders or vulnerable family members after attending a large gathering.
• Masks must be worn in all common areas at the Band Office.
• Hand sanitizers provided throughout the building.
• Continue to Wash Hands.
• Staff and Community Members are to stay home when sick or feeling any cold symptoms.
