Meet Our Caring Medical Team

Our clinic is privileged to have experienced physicians and nurse practitioners deeply committed to compassionate patient care:
Dr. Marcella Beaulieu brings a deep connection to Indigenous culture and commitment to family-like care. Originally from Sandy Bay First Nation, her traditional name “Kappamaajikwe” means “woman of the wind.”

As a resident of Harrison Hot Springs, Dr. Beaulieu chose to practice at Seabird Island because of the sense of community. She enjoys getting to know each patient personally and providing the excellent medical care she would want for her own family.

Patients appreciate Dr. Beaulieu’s consummate skills, warm bedside manner, and taking ample time to understand their health needs. Her background allows her to incorporate traditional healing practices alongside Western medicine.

We feel truly fortunate to have Dr. Beaulieu as part of our medical team. Please call anytime to meet her and learn more about the compassionate, holistic care she provides.

Dr. Robert Fox, originally from the Blood Reserve, brings valued expertise serving First Nations communities. His traditional name “Gohkkanahkami” means “morning crier.”

Dr. Fox now enjoys spending time with his beloved wife and young son. Prior to joining our clinic, he practiced medicine for five years in rural Alberta towns.

With this background, Dr. Fox can adeptly treat medical issues while understanding the cultural context that shapes wellbeing. He builds trusted relationships by taking time to listen and explain health concerns compassionately.

Patients appreciate Dr. Fox’s outstanding diagnostic skills, patience, and efforts to make them feel comfortable. We feel privileged to have him caring for our community.

Nurse practitioner Stephen Martin brings specialized expertise in family healthcare. Originally from Swan River, Manitoba, he now stays busy outside work with his twin boys and daughter.

Stephen began his practice in 2012, exclusively serving First Nations communities. He feels honored to be at Seabird Island, where he enjoys meeting and building relationships with community members.

With nearly a decade of experience, Stephen provides compassionate care tailored to each patient’s needs. He takes time to listen thoughtfully, explain health issues, and empower patients in their wellness.

Patients appreciate Stephen’s consummate nursing skills, friendly bedside manner, and efforts to put them at ease. We feel lucky to have him as part of our medical team.
