Inter-Government Affairs

Overview

Seabird Island diligently manages land use, natural resources and environmental affairs to preserve Indigenous lifeways. Our stewardship upholds responsibilities to the territories and waterways sustaining us physically and spiritually.

From zoning law updates and agricultural development to fisheries monitoring and conservation initiatives, our team makes decisions benefitting  generations ahead. We review resource extraction proposals on traditional lands too, intervening wherever necessary to protect heirloom sites and habitats.

Ongoing remediation efforts promote the return of vital flora/fauna populations that nourish people and ecosystems.
