Reconnecting Community Members with traditional food systems, the land, and the teachings that sustain them.
The Tém:éxw li te Letam (Land to Table) Program supports food sovereignty, cultural revitalization and community wellness by reconnecting Community Members with traditional food systems and sustainable food production practices. Through land-based learning, agricultural development, harvesting activities and cultural teachings, the program promotes the transmission of traditional knowledge while increasing access to healthy, locally grown foods.
As the program continues to grow, Tém:éxw li te Letam remains committed to strengthening food sovereignty, preserving traditional food practices, expanding agricultural capacity and creating more opportunities for Community Members to reconnect with the land. Through infrastructure development, partnerships, cultural teachings and hands-on learning, the program continues to support a healthier and more self-sufficient future for Seabird Island and future generations.
The Land to Table Program is supported by a dedicated team passionate about food sovereignty, traditional knowledge and community wellness.
