Holiday Closure Information
Sq’éwqel Band Office & Facilities

Éy swáyel Members of Seabird Island,

During this year’s holiday season, please know that our Band Office and facilities will be closed on December 27, 30, and 31, 2024. This means, we will close from December 25 to January 1, including the statutory holidays on December 25 and 26, and January 1.

Our offices will re-open on Thursday, January 2, 2025.

Seabird Island Community School (SICS), Seabird College and Early Childhood Development (ECD) will re-open on Monday, January 6, 2025.

To support our clients and Community, we will ensure some essential services remain available, and depending on weather conditions, we may also have warming stations open.

For URGENT assistance during this closure, Community Members will be asked to contact the following:

  • Please call in advance, you will be met at the main front doors for assistance. Note:
    This will be similar to prior covid-19 protocols, as the Band Office itself will be closed.
